Face Groove Tools

Announced by Micro 100, Inc.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA . . . Continuing its tradition of unique tool design while never sacrificing quality, MICRO 100, INC. is now introducing solid carbide FACE GROOVE TOOLS. Today's announcement was made by E. Mike Bruhwiler, president.

The new face groove tool is intended to cut small diameter grooves on the face of the work piece. Because these FG style tools are ground from solid blanks they provide much smaller diameters than can be obtained from insert type tooling. Superior rigidity vastly improves strength and wear characteristics.

There are twenty seven stocking sizes of the MICRO 100 Face Groove Tool series with shank diameters from ¼" to ¾", which are precision ground within .0001" to .0003". Minimum groove diameters range from .260" to .760". Tool width and projection are offered in a wide selection. A lockdown flat on the shank automatically locates the face groove tool on center.

These new tool designs are manufactured using the proprietary MICRO 100 Super Carbide process.
