Fabrico Ships 4000 Rapid Release Nesting Pads to European CD/DVD Manufacturer

Kennesaw, GA, USA - Fabrico, the leader in design and manufacturing services for flexible materials, announces that Entertainment Distribution Corporation (EDC) Europe of Germany has placed a substantial order of 4,000 RapidRelease nesting pads to protect CD's and DVD's during its screen printing process. The nesting pads, which are made from rubber laminated with adhesive, are supplied to EDC Europe by Fabrico as die-cut disks, which are placed below the CD or DVD during manufacturing to protect and stabilize the product during imprinting. Fabrico's RapidRelease Pads are distributed by Motion Industries, one of North America's leading distributors of industrial maintenance, repair, and replacement parts.
Fabrico worked closely with EDC Europe to develop a design and prototype of the nesting pads. Using their materials expertise and wide range of vendors, Fabrico was able to source the ideal adhesive for the application that holds firmly and releases readily. Standard nesting pads are not easily removed once they are placed in the screen printer. However, Fabrico's RapidRelease Pads are peeled off easily and leave no residue. This convenient approach not only speeds up the screen printing process, but also reduces labor costs. Additionally, the adhesive requires no curing time after installation in the screen printer, allowing it to be used immediately. This reduces EDC's set-up time.
