Fabrico Materials Support Mercedes Lumbar Bladder

Applying its extensive design, manufacturing, and sourcing capabilities, Fabrico supplies Alfmeier with converted materials that, when assembled and installed, withstand the constant inflation and deflation of the lumbar support bladder and, in the process, protect surrounding foam padding of the driver's seat cushion from the effects of continual impact.
Fabrico's solution is a four-part assembly of die cut parts made from polypropylene felt. Because of its soft, silky finish, the material easily glides over adjacent cushion foam, protecting it from unnecessary wear. This, in turn, increases the "bag life" of the sewn part, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the lumbar support bladder.
The four separate bag parts are die cut, oriented, and stacked at Fabrico's facility in Ontario, CA, and shipped to Alfmeier for final integration into the Mercedes seat. Through its extensive materials sourcing and local manufacturing capabilities, Fabrico offers Alfmeier substantial cost savings and enables the company to provide an uninterrupted supply of locally-manufactured parts to their North America assembly facility.
