Magnalight Adds a Solar Powered Explosion Proof LED light
Larson Electronics' Magnalight announced the addition of the EXPLED-SOL12 explosion proof LED light for remote applications in hazardous areas. This LED light is ideal for remote, mine site, pipeline and rig maintenance where operators infrequently perform site visits.
Larson Electronics' Magnalight adds a new solar powered explosion proof LED light for remote or unmanned hazardous location areas. The new EXPLED-SOL12 explosion proof LED light includes a motion sensor and a day/night sensor for optimal battery use. This explosion proof light is powered by a 14.8 volt LIPoly battery that is recharged by a 12 watt solar panel and is marine-rated for use in salt water environments. The cast aluminum housing is made of high strength copper-free aluminum alloy with a baked powder epoxy finish. Capable of illuminating an area approximately 50 feet long and 50 feet wide with "Wal-Mart parking lot" levels of illumination, this solar powered LED light can run 15 hours with a full 5 hour charge on the battery. The solar panel is mounted outside the hazardous area and the Class 1 Division 1 and Class 2 Division 1 rated LED light is mounted within a the hazardous area via available wall, pendant or ceiling mounts.
