Larson Electronics Announces Addition of Corrosion Resistant LED Beacon Light with Explosion Proof Approval

Larson Electronics has announced the addition of an LED strobe light designed for use in hazardous locations where corrosive conditions are commonly encountered. The HALSB-CRNM-LED Hazardous Area Strobing LED Light Beacon is constructed with a non metallic design that features a excellent resistance to corrosion and incorporates a high power LED lamp for brilliant signal output and high reliability in hazardous locations where easy signal visibility is critical.

The HALSB-CRNM-LED hazardous area LED beacon light from Larson Electronics is a powerful signal beacon that provides high reliability and durability with corrosion resistant construction and high output LED lamp assembly. This powerful strobing beacon is constructed with a housing formed from GE Lexan polycarbonate, giving it excellent resistance to the effects of corrosion from exposure to marine environments, high humidity, salt water, and damaging chemicals. A Pyrex lamp globe provides protection for the LED assembly and is also resistant to the effects of damaging environments and heat. This beacon light is NEMA 4X rated against water intrusion, making it suitable for wet locations and hose down areas, and is USCG approved for marine locations as well. The LED lamp assembly is designed for high output and longevity, providing brilliant flashing output at a rate of 4 flashes per second with a 50,000 hour operational life rating, and is available in a choice of light colors including white, amber, red, and more for specialized applications. This LED light comes standard in 120-277 VAC configuration for use with standard voltages and is also available in 12/24 VDC configurations for use with low voltages. Larson Electronics offers these units in a standard ceiling mount design, but also offers a choice of pendant and wall mounting designs as well for more versatile installation options. This explosion proof LED light is approved for hazardous locations where flammable gases and vapors may be present and carries Class 1,Division 2 Groups A,B,C,D certification with a T2D operating temp rating. Other approvals for this light include UL 595: Marine, UL 1570/1571: Wet Locations, USCG acceptance, and CSA certification. This LED strobe light is ideal for industrial applications where corrosive environments and materials are encountered and an excellent solution for operators in marine applications, wet areas, pulp and paper plants, chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, and other locations which require an effective signal light with high reliability.

“Operators that need a Class 1 Division 2 LED beacon in a corrosion resistant housing will find the HALSB-CRNM-LED highly available and cost effective,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com.  “We offer this hazardous area beacon in a multitude of color outputs, including red, green, blue, white and amber and this beacon can be configured for 120/277 VAC or 12/24 Volts AC/DC, which makes it extremely versatile.  The non-metallic housing makes it particularly relevant to saltwater environments.”
