Magnalight by Larson Electronics announced the release of a 25 foot explosion proof extension cord designed to allow multiple connections with four inline explosion proof receptacles. Designed to give operators in hazardous locations a convenient and safe option for connecting multiple devices, the EPEXC-4X-25 explosion proof extension cord is built for convenience as well with an integral carry handle that allows hanging and easy carrying around the work area.
The Magnalight EPEXC-4X-25 explosion proof 25' extension cord with four outlets provides operators in hazardous locations with a safe option for connecting multiple devices to a single power source. Designed for durability and convenience, this 25 foot long explosion proof extension cord is constructed with 14-3 SOOW explosion proof cord, four wet area suited receptacles, and a 2 pole 2 wire T style explosion proof plug. Rated at 20 amps of continuous service, this explosion proof extension cord is approved for Class 1 Division 1 and Class 2 Division 1 locations and suitable for use in wet areas. To provide multiple connections, Magnalight has designed this unit with four explosion proof Twist-Lock receptacles mounted to an aluminum frame with a built in carrying handle. Users can easily roll up the cord and carry the unit from one area to another, and the integral carrying handle also acts as a bracket, allowing the operator to hang the unit wherever it is most convenient. The plug and receptacles on this unit feature a twist lock T style design that provides secure connections and resists pull outs, and the receptacles feature deep seated contacts to prevent the contacts from sparking before the plug is fully seated. These explosion proof extension cords are also compatible with standard NEMA 5-15R, 5-20R, or 6-20R plugs, but require the use of explosion proof rated plugs in order to maintain compliance when used in hazardous locations.
