Larson Electronics Releases Trunnion Mounted 400 Watt Explosion Proof Metal Halide Light
Kemp, Texas – Larson Electronics, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial lighting equipment, has announced the release of a new 400 watt trunnion mounted explosion proof metal halide light.
The EPL-TRN-400W-MH explosion proof metal halide light from Larson Electronics is rated Class 1 Division 1 and incorporates a 400 watt metal halide lamp to produce 36,000 lumens of light in a wide flood pattern, capable of illuminating a 20,000 square foot work area. The lamp housing is weatherproof and constructed of cast aluminum featuring a heavy duty mogul base socket, tempered and heat resistant glass dome, a cast aluminum dome guard, and a white aluminum reflector with a polycarbonate lens. The aluminum body of this unit is electrocoated for durability and corrosion resistance while the tempered glass globe is protected by an aluminum guard, providing the lamp protection against impacts and the elements.
The 400 watt metal halide lamp is mounted to an adjustable trunnion bracket fabricated from non-sparking aluminum and powder coated for corrosion resistance. This U-bracket trunnion mount allows the fixture to be vertically adjusted once mounted. The integral multi-tap ballast is protected within the weatherproof housing and can be operated on 120, 208, 240, and 277 volts AC. This unit’s wiring is fed through a convenient ¾” NPT conduit entrance. This explosion proof tank light provides a safe, versatile and convenient lighting alternative to the cumbersome setup of string lights and is ideal for use in confined spaces.
