Paramount's New Explosion-proof Luminaire For Hazardous Locations
Paramount Industries has introduced a new explosion-proof luminaire UL Listed for Class I, Division 1 and Class II, Division 1 hazardous locations. The rugged new AIFX Series is offered as a 4FT, 2 lamp unit with various T8 and T12 fluorescent lamp options. It is the first of several new explosion-proof products that Paramount will bring to market.
The AIFX is suitable for locations having deposits of readily combustible paint residue. In addition, it is also UL Listed for Marine Outdoor applications in saltwater environments, making it suitable for use on off-shore drilling platforms. It compliments the company's existing range of Class I, Division 2 and Class II, Division 2 luminaires.
This product also represents a departure for Paramount, being designed and built in cooperation with a leading South American lighting manufacturer, Blinda Industria e Comercio Ltd. The new luminaire is manufactured in Brazil by Blinda and distributed throughout North America exclusively by Paramount.
Product will be available for delivery by the end of second quarter 2005.
