Larson Electronics' Magnalight Unviels Explosion Proof LED Light for Paint and Powder Spray Booths

Larson Electronics unveiled the EPL-LED7W-SFC explosion proof LED light suitable for paint and powder spray booth applications. The UL rated Class 1 Division 1 and Class 2 Division 1 rated LED light can be pendant, wall or ceiling mounted within hazardous location areas.

Larson Electronics' released the latest explosion proof LED light in their growing range of high output, efficient lighting. In addition to a wide range of four foot and two foot LED linear fluorescent explosion proof fixtures, magnalight.com added a new surface mount Class 1 and Class 2 LED light for hazardous location areas. The EPL-LED7W-SFC explosion proof LED light is a replacement for standard ceiling, wall or pendant mount incandescent lights. Carrying both explosion proof and paint spray booth light UL certifications, the new hazardous location 7 watt LED light provides 40% more light at 10 feet than a 100 watt incandescent light. The specially designed LED module operates below ambient temperatures and focuses all light produced in a downward direction, optimizing usable the light available for general area lighting.

"Federal and state lawmakers are busy legislating the 100 watt incandescent light bulb out of existence, so we are offering explosion proof LED solutions that will help operators avoid obsolescence," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' magnalight.com. "Since lawmakers generally operate in a vacuum far from reality, they are looking towards compact fluorescents. However, LEDs are already more efficient, brighter and longer lasting than compact fluorescents. So operators looking to minimize maintenance and optimize their total cost of ownership of hazardous location lighting need to be putting explosion proof LED lights into their plans. If US lawmakers follow in the footsteps in international efforts to eliminate mercury, fluorescent bulbs will follow the incandescent bulb into legal obsolescence soon. The Magnalight LED lights are well known in military circles for durability and substantial forward light projection, and we bring that same optics proficiency to our explosion proof LED lights."

Larson Electronics offers a wide array of explosion proof LED lighting, including explosion proof LED flashlights, explosion proof LED paint spray booth light carts and portable hazardous location LED lighting.
