WIN Enterprises Announces Expandable Networking Platform with Intel® Haswell Processor
NORTH ANDOVER, MA: WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-10480, a 2U rack mounted hardware platform designed for network service applications. PL-10480 supports the Intel® 22nm Haswell Core i3/i5/i7 or E3-1200V3 processors and uses the Intel® extended-life Embedded IA versions of these components to enable long OEM product life.

The 2U platform supports four un-buffered and non-ECC DDR3 1333/1600 MHz DIMM sockets with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. In order to provide the best network performance and utilization, storage interfaces include one 2.5" SATA HDD and CompactFlash™. The PL-10480 supports one PCIe x4 expansion slot and comes standard with 2 GbE LAN expandable to a maximum of 48 GbE Ethernet ports accessible from the front-panel. The front panel also features one USB 2.0 port, one RJ-45 console port and LED indicators that monitor power and storage device activities for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. The PL-10480 is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
Typical OEM applications for the PL-10480 include Unified Threat Management, Enterprise Network Firewalls, Application Delivery Controllers, WAN Optimization Control and Intrusion Prevention. The unit is designed to be highly flexible in LAN support capacity, but can be further modified to support additional OEM feature requirements.
