Exothermics Inc., Toledo, Ohio USA, Awarded Equipment Certificates by the United States Department of Agriculture for USDA Accepted Designs of Indirect Air Heater and Air to Air Heat Exchangers for the Dairy Industry

Exothermics, a division of Eclipse Inc, has been given Equipment Acceptance Certificates for the Air-to-air Heat Exchanger Model SP-DA, and Indirect Air Heater, Model ER-DA for specific use on spray drying applications in the dairy industry.
The Indirect Fired Air Heater provides clean heated air for the dryer and the air to air heat exchanger provides increased thermal efficiency through heat recovery. Dairy dryers can achieve 20% or greater energy savings from better utilization of the latent energy exhausted from the dryer.
After an extensive review by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Equipment Review Program, the Certification was granted in January 2012. Review included evaluation and observation of manufacturing methods and design principles. Both Models ER-DA and SP-DA are accepted for use in plants which require certified equipment compliant for the USDA Dairy Plant Survey program. The USDA Dairy Grading Branch certificate is in effect for a five year period.
