Lambda Physik Introduces a New High End Industrial Excimer Laser-Lambda STEEL® 2000



MUNICH, GERMANY, June 23, 2003 - The new Lambda STEEL® 2000 (STable Energy Excimer Laser) series is designed to facilitate industrial production processes with maximum throughput and duty-cycle, and delivers 310 W stabilized output power at 300 Hz pulse repetition rate, the highest UV power available from any laser source today.

The laser discharge unit now features the maintenance free all-solid-state NovaPowerSwitch®. Multiple design advancements to the Novatube® laser tube have considerably improved the performance reserves compared to its predecessor, the Lambda STEEL® 1000, which results in longer uptime between maintenance cycles and reduced cost of operation. A newly designed particle precipitator has eliminated the previously employed cryogenic gas purification and further extended the gas and tube lifetime. Additional design features include a clean-room compatible stainless steel cabinet, single-side access for more floor space, and full remote control operation.
