FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: EVTN) announced today that the Company will demonstrate its new Submersible Voraxial® Separator at the upcoming Clean Gulf Training and Exhibition on October 19-20 in Tampa, Florida. The Submersible Voraxial® is the core technology for a fleet of advanced oil skimmer/processor boats, envisioned by EVTN. These Voraxial equipped vessels will have the capacity to effectively contain and clean major oil spills. This capability is not demonstrated by equipment currently available for responding to major oil spills.
During the two day event, EVTN will meet with major oil and gas companies, government agencies and oil spill response companies from around the globe. "Equipping a fleet of skimming vessels with the Submersible Voraxial will capture 10x more oil and increase oil skimming efficiency by 90% when compared to current methods. Clean Gulf 2010 provides us with an opportunity to meet with more customers and further demonstrate the advantages of the Voraxial," stated John A. Di Bella, COO for EVTN.
EVTN will display its Submersible Voraxial® 4000 Separator, the same model included in BP's RAT (Rapid Attack Team) Pack program for the Gulf oil spill. The RAT Pack is "a fleet of local commercial, shallow draft, nimble and fast moving vessels operating under the Vessels of Opportunity program" able to quickly respond to oil spills close to shore or in open seas. The Submersible Voraxial® design is the only oil-water separator that can operate in the water to treat oil slicks. Further, the Submersible Voraxial® can be lowered deep into the ocean to treat underwater oil spills and oil plumes. This technology is light weight, compact and energy efficient enabling skimming vessels to treat oil spills in open seas or close to shore, shallow waters. A fleet of skimming vessels equipped with the Submersible Voraxial can help protect against another major oil spill.
Utilizing the Voraxial® Separator enables the skimming vessels to be 90% more efficient, capture 10 times more oil and clean the spill 10 times faster than conventional methods. As opposed to conventional oil spill recovery operations which require the skimmed oil/water mixture to be transferred from the ocean onto the vessel for oil-water separation, the Submersible Voraxial® performs oil-water separation in the ocean.
The Submersible Voraxial is available in different sizes. The largest model, the Voraxial 8000 Separator, processes up to 7,000,000 gallons per day. The Voraxial 2000 and Voraxial 4000 processes up to 70,000 and 700,000 GPD, respectively.
Although the conference is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the significance of the conference is much greater this year due to the tragic Deepwater Horizon explosion and subsequent spill in the Gulf of Mexico this past April. Clean Gulf 2010 is the first event to cover the lessons learned from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and companies from throughout the oil and chemical spill, maritime security industry and the marine salvage industry will be in attendance. About Enviro Voraxial Technology
Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. (OTCBB "EVTN") is a Fort Lauderdale, Florida based CleanTech company that developed and manufactures the Voraxial® Separator, a highly efficient technology for high volume, bulk separation of fluids such as oil and water.
The Voraxial® Separator is a unique, patented, in-line, continuous-flow separator capable of pumping and simultaneously separating up to three components, such as oil, water and sand. It's a mechanical separator that separates contaminants at high volumes with less space, energy, weight and cost than conventional equipment. The Voraxial® Separator benefits include: high volume/small footprint, no pressure drop requirement, two-way or three-way separation, ability to handle fluctuations in flow rate and oil concentration without any adjustments, high "G" force and less maintenance than conventional equipment. These benefits result in significant acquisition and operating cost savings to the customer. The Voraxial® may stand alone or serve to enhance the capabilities of other environmental or energy technologies.
The separation market encompasses a series of multi-billion dollar segments including: oil and gas exploration and production, refinery, tar sands, mining, oil spill, wastewater treatment, manufacturing, remediation and much more. EVTN was originally founded as a high precision aerospace manufacturer that built the gyro platforms for the Hubble space telescope as well as missile and satellite components. EVTN owns significant intellectual property surrounding the Voraxial®. For more information, please visit www.evtn.com.
