Original Press Release:

Versatile Lab Evaporator Allows Evaluation Of Thin-Film Processing

LCI Corporation has introduced the LabVap(TM) thin-film evaporator for use in R&D facilities. The LabVap enables engineers and scientists to evaluate thin-film evaporation during early product development when often only small quantities of material are available. Designed to evaluate a broad variety of applications, it can be used with heating temperatures up to 650 deg F and for countercurrent or co-current operation.

LabVap nozzle designs allow easy connections to standard laboratory glassware and the system is quickly disassembled and re-assembled for ease in cleaning. The basic horizontal design incorporates a sturdy stainless steel body and rotor, a double mechanical seal for positive sealing from the atmosphere, and a fixed clearance rotor.
