SALT LAKE CTY, UTAH - January 14, 2004 - Parvus® Corporation today announced the availability of SpacePC® CPU Evaluation Kits for its 4320, 4200, 2320, and 2110 Series embedded PC boards. Now available to qualified prospective customers for a 30-day free evaluation, these CPU evaluation kits offer effortless evaluation of Parvus' SpacePC line, so that users can be up and running in minimal time, testing out features and capabilities of the CPU boards without the hassle of wiring or power issues.

Parvus' SpacePC CPU line of PC/104 and PC/104-Plus CPUs is characterized by its space-saving size (3.550" x 3.775"), broad support for x86 operating systems (i.e. Windows, VxWorks, Linux, QNX), low-power consumption (4-5 watts typical), soldered RAM memory (for ruggedness), optional extended temperature operation (from -40ºC to +85ºC), and breadth of integrated peripherals.

Each evaluation kit comes with a CPU board that is pre-installed with its peripherals interfaced to a PC/104-Plus baseboard with standard PC-style connectors for PS/2, VGA, RJ-45 Ethernet, and CompactFlash®. Users need only to attach their monitor, keyboard, and mouse, then plug the provided AC/DC power adapter into a 120V outlet, and flip the power switch to begin booting up.

Kits also include the standard ribbon cable sets and related adapters (i.e. Ethernet, CAN, USB/Audio) for each CPU board, a CompactFlash disk with operating system, Web browser, and TCP/IP stack, as well as a CD-ROM disk with drivers, manuals, and technical documentation. CPUs without onboard video also come with Parvus' 104FX (TM) video card installed.

Customers will have a period of 30 days to evaluate each CPU kit, after which, customers can either return or purchase the kits. Supplies are limited. Some restrictions apply.
