Lean Managed Switches for Ethernet in Automation Environments

The new lean managed switches (LM) from Phoenix Contact's Factory Line product family makes the cost-effective setup of manageable Ethernet networks in automation environments possible.

The compact lean managed switches are available as pure 10/100 twisted pair versions with eight ports; alternatively, Phoenix Contact offers two versions with two glass fiber interfaces (100 BASE-FX multimode or single mode) and four twisted pair ports.

All twisted pair ports have autonegotiation and autocrossing functionality. The lean managed switches support redundant vendor-neutral network structures with Rapid Spanning Tree protocol IEEE 802.1w and network management via SNMP.

They also have an integrated Web server for comprehensive configuration and diagnostic mechanisms. The lean managed switches are suitable for the extended temperature range from -40 to +70 °C.
