Charlotte, NC-- Monday, November 01, 2004 - The new DIN rail mountable Lutze, Inc. Ethernet-Switch DIOSWITCH MINI has 6 ports and was developed for industrial applications. One of the most remarkable facts of the new Ethernet-Switch DIOSWITCH MINI from Lutze, Inc. is the small width of 22.5 mm. Lutze's target was to develop a compact 10/100 Base-TX-Switch which is economical but yet a high quality product.
The plastic housing comes with IP20 protection and all Ethernet functions, like Auto-Negotiation, Auto-Crossing, and Auto-Polarity, were implemented.
In order to make the installation for engineers quicker and easier 2 of the 6 ports are pluggable clamps. In industry applications it is often the case that RJ45 connectors are not useful. With the pluggable clamps it is not necessary to invest in a patch panel. Another installation advantage is the 3 pin pluggable spring cage terminal for the power supply, which is between 19.2 and 30 Volt incl. a ripple of maximum 10 percent.
To improve the ease of usage and monitor the internal functions the new DIOSWITCH MINI 10/100 Base-TX-Switch has status information on its front panel, like Link status for each channel, 10/100 Mbit and logic power supply, for diagnosis and operation.
