New Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Switch
Harrisburg, PA - The Ethernet installation system, Factory Line, from Phoenix Contact has expanded to include a new stand alone Ethernet/Fast Ethernet unmanaged switch. The FL Switch 5 TX is DIN-rail mountable and housed in Phoenix Contact's industrialized ME housing. It is used for quick and cost effective Ethernet network expansion on the factory floor.
The device permits the connection of up to 5 Twisted Pair Ethernet segments and supports both 10 Mbs and 100 Mbs transmission rates through autonegotiation. The FL Switch 5 TX fully supports either 1:1 or cross-over Ethernet cabling.
The FL Switch 5 TX also provides an alarm output that can be used to externally monitor a redundant power source.
