Korenix announces a new JetCon1301, an Industrial Ethernet Fiber Media Converter, to the expansion of its JetCon product family. Industrial networking trend is to increase the productivity and to manage the resources efficiently. The more devices are connected, the more resources are shared and managed remotely. A small size, robust casing, low data forwarding latency and cost effective Fast Ethernet Fiber converter becomes a strong demand to industrial applications. Korenix JetCon1301, an Industrial 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Multi-Mode (JetCon1301-m)/ Single-Mode (JetCon1301-s) fiber media converter, adopts an aluminum case, robust industrial design with a small footprint (H*W*D, 70mm * 30mm * 89mm). It specially fulfilled the need of space constraint installation. The JetCon 1301 is the best solution to extend existing networking range and also keeping the system operated in safe and reliable.
Flexible Function and High Performance
The JetCon1301 can be operated in two different modes, switching converter mode and pure converter mode. The store-and-forward technology is implemented in switching converter mode. It will filter out abnormal packets to keep network performance, supporting the data forwarding rate up to 148810 pps in full wire speed, packet length from 64 to 1522 bytes. In the pure converter mode, the JetCon1301 only converts signal between copper and fiber port without any packet check and operates in the speed of minimum data forwarding latency.
Real Time Network Monitoring
To enhance the maintenance ability, the JetCon1301 is built-in Link Loss Forwarding (LLF) technology to fast forward the on-site link status to remote system administration. The 10/100Base-TX port supports auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X and the fiber port supports multi-mode SC-type connector with maximum 2 km transmission distance or single-mode SC-type connector in 30km. The JetCon 1301 also features diagnostic LEDs, which displays link, power, and activity, allowing you to quickly detect and correct problems on the network.
A Heavy-Duty Fast Media Converter
To endure harsh environment, the JetCon1301 series chooses industrial-grade aluminum case with IP31 protection standard, a heavy-duty design suitable for industrial applications (permitted operating temperatures from -10°C to + 70 °C, fan-less). A built-in HIPOT 1500VAC isolation protection prevents the JetCon1301from the damage of power surge or short wiring.
Easy Configuration and Installation
By flipping a 4-digit DIP switch on or off, the JetCon1301 series can be operated in different modes or Link Loss Forwarding technology enabled/disabled. The JetCon1301 supports power input in various application, 18~27VAC for building automation or 18~32VDC for industrial application. The JetCon1301 also equips a 2-pin terminal block with reverse power polarity protection and a Din-Rail mounting clip for Din-Rail installation.
