Essemtec to Present Innovations at SMT Nuremberg 2011

Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems for electronics, will present several innovations in Hall 7, at booth 203 during the upcoming SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2011 exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany. One of these advancements is the new Cobra Feeder, which allows four components to be picked up simultaneously.
The new double-8-mm feeder from Essemtec is so precise that a Cobra placement machine can pick up four components at the same time from different feeders. This, together with the indexing time of only 60 ms, increases the machine's placement speed by more than 25 percent. Essemtec will debut the new Cobra Feeder at the SMT exhibition.
The Cobra and Paraquda pick-and-place machines will highlight new features and options that make SMT assembly more flexible and productive than ever. For example, the new release of ePlace graphical operation software incorporates numerous customer requests from the field.
Additionally, Essemtec's printer portfolio has been improved with the overhaul of the Tucano stencil printer, which will be shown at the SMT exhibition. Experience from solar cell printing has improved the design. A printing cycle time of less than 10 seconds and accuracy better than 12 µm make this printer one of the top products in the printer market.
A new quick-to-install vacuum table for SMT pick -and-place machines and dispensing systems allows foils and double-sided PCBs to be processed on the same machine. Table installation is simple with only a few steps. This innovation will be premiered to the European market at the SMT exhibition.
