ESF VME Packaging System Features Custom Sub-Racks and Accessories

Electro-Space Fabricators, Inc. offers an improved VME packaging system, encompassing all standard sizes and combinations of 3U, 6U, 9U and 12U sub-racks. The system features an easy-to use method for specifying standard or custom VME sub-racks. The product line also allows customers to customize sub-racks, resulting in greater cost savings over any competitive product line.
ESF's VME sub-racks are made of rugged, stylized aluminum extrusions. All plastic components are molded of flame-retardant material (UL94V-0). An innovative card guide with molded-in loop eliminates the need for additional snap-in pieces in injector/ejector applications, resulting in dramatic cost savings.
The new order form requires only six steps to determine card depth, backplane insulator needs, mounting ear and card guide style, card positions and assembly requirements. Users need only to FAX the form to ESF.
In addition, ESF offers enclosure accessories such as ejector knobs, panel knobs, perforated shields, rear protective hoods and rack handles. Technical drawings for each are provided.
