ESD Tray protects PC boards against static charge.

Press Release Summary:

ElastoStatMat static dissipative elastomer material is used in ESD trays, which cushion products and eliminate need for tape, glue, adhesive, or separate rubber mats. Trays meet or exceed ANSI/ESD S2020 standards. Operating temperature range is -40 to +200°F and static load is greater than 200 lbs. Elastomer material features tear and cut resistance, will not abrade, and is impervious to damage from leaded components. Standard size is 26 x 18 x 1 in.

Original Press Release:

New Trays for ESD Sensitive PC Boards and Assemblies

Linesville, PA - MFG introduces a unique static dissipative elastomer material that becomes a permanent part of their standard ESD trays, making them ideal for protecting PC boards and assemblies against static charge during the manufacturing process. Identified as "ElastoStatMat", the patent-pending trays cushion the products and eliminate the need for tape, glue, adhesive or separate rubber mats. This new concept is exclusive with MFG and offers greater protection from electrostatic discharge than existing rubber foam and inlays currently used on the market. The trays also save costs by eliminating cutting rubber and foam materials to size.

The new ESD trays meet or exceed ANSI/ESD S2020 standards. Operating temperature range is -40° to +200°F and static load is greater than 200 lbs. The ESD elastomer material has excellent tear and cut resistance, will not abrade and is impervious to damage from leaded components. The trays can be washed down in normal solvents and soaps without losing ESD properties. Available from stock in standard 26" x 18" x 1" size with other sizes available. MFG also offers a grounded 20-station tray cart system for transporting during processing.
