Ersa to Show the Intelligent i-CON Series at SMTA West Penn Expo

Plymouth, WI – Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, announces that it will exhibit the i-CON Series Solder Stations at the SMTA West Penn Expo & Tech Forum, scheduled to take place Thursday August 14, 2014 at the DoubleTree Monroeville in Pennsylvania.

Today's soldering operators are faced with ever-increasing challenges, including continued miniaturization and densely packed PCBs, high thermal mass solder joints as well as the general problems caused by the higher temperature by lead- free applications. Simply put, such difficulties can result in decreased profits due to a decrease in touch-up productivity, an increase in PCB scrap rate and an increase in soldering tip consumption. Ersa accepted these challenges when it introduced the i-CON C family of intelligent soldering stations. Designed for controlling or communicating (hence the "C") with an auxiliary Ersa product, i-CON C has a serial port which can connect to the various supporting workbench systems.

The i-CON C is available as an i-CON 1 C with one i-Tool solder iron or as the i-CON 2 C with one i-Tool iron and one additional soldering or de-soldering tool.
