IQMS Publishes Intercompany Transaction Module for EnterpriseIQ

Comprehensive Distribution and eKanban Functionality Make Achieving Lean, Multi-Plant Operations as Easy as 1-2-3

PASO ROBLES, Calif., Aug. 9 // -- IQMS, a leader in the design and development of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, today announced the immediate availability of its new Intercompany Transaction (ICT) module for use with EnterpriseIQ, the company's single-source ERP software solution. With comprehensive distribution and eKanban functionality, the ICT module enables synchronized, web-based control of just-in-time transactions across multiple facilities and even subsidiaries. A user-friendly, three-step process is used to initiate transactions, and the module can be configured to meet the specific and changing demands of any enterprise, making lean, multi- plant operations as easy to achieve as 1-2-3.

Designed to work seamlessly within the EnterpriseIQ ERP system, the ITC module utilizes graphic displays and transaction wizards to guide users through setup and standard operations. Even the most complex intercompany distribution models are easily managed within the system, making it an integral part of any lean manufacturing environment.

"The call for leaner operations echoes throughout all segments of today's manufacturing industries," said Randy Flamm, president and founder of IQMS. "But for multi-plant enterprises this call may be the loudest, because inefficiencies are often amplified by the number of locations. EnterpriseIQ and the ICT module allow multi-plant companies to achieve unified scheduling and distribution across all facilities, quickly and easily. The benefit is greater operational efficiencies in areas such as production, transportation, and inventory control, all of which can contribute significant cost savings, company wide."

The module also allows the flexibility of distribution processes using a pick ticket, packing slip or bill of lading. Shipped items are received at the target location using the IQMS Intercompany Receiving segment. Fast and flexible reporting tools allow users to easily view sales orders and inventory data via color-coded displays, which provide better visibility and a complete audit trail.

The module's eKanban functionality enables trigger points for items used at one location within the organization and supplied by another. When the trigger quantity is crossed, demand is added to an ICT sales order, automatically alerting the source location to the need. This reduces production delays, prevents inventory buildup, and keeps production lines moving at higher levels of efficiency.
