The SMS feature is another innovation from the Tally lab that is designed to meet the needs of evolving businesses today. The SMS feature is a distinct & innovative feature which is easy to use. All one needs to do is to type his/her query, it gets automatically recognized and the system responds with the corresponding data. To avail of the SMS facility customers have to follow three easy steps and they can be connected with their business effortlessly whenever required.
The Remote Access facility provides the capability to enter, rectify or alter data from anywhere. This enhances speed &productivity as the businessman need not be physically present in office but can enjoy the freedom to conduct business anytime and anywhere. No additional license is required to use this feature.
The Tally.NET Services further facilitates the 2.6 lakh Tally.ERP 9 customers with a path breaking recruitment engine. Tally is one solution that serves most businesses which in turn need Tally trained resources. With the help of the recruitment engine, Tally customers can search for the right talent basis their manpower requirements. All that a customer needs to do is post a job-opening which reflects back search results based on the criterion fed into the recruitment search engine. Every customer will now have access and be able to connect with millions of qualified youth. Customers can also conduct online tests with the help of Tally's question bank to assess potential candidates.
Note:
The most common business usage of SMS is in the area of PUSH, as in the case of a banking alert or a marketing alert. In contrast, if the customer needs to pull information, he needs to be tech savvy as he will need to use either a browser based application or a custom application.
Tally provides a solution with the PULL SMS from Tally.ERP 9, where one can access information anytime, anywhere by entering the requirements in the English language. There is no specific code or jargon that is required but just inputs close to 'natural language'.
E.g.: The customer need not type a key word, but can type free text, which is close to 'natural language' i.e. A natural language parsing technology related to our domain and application (Finance and inventory related). In other words Tally mimics the human way of understanding the pieces and whole together to derive the likely meaning using a domain (Accounts/Inventory) specific - business context dictionary.
Example on how SMS in Tally works:
1. In case a customer types in 'Sales for Today', the software will return - the sales figure for today.
2. Now if the customer types just 'Yesterday' and the context of the previous SMS is retained, the sales figures for yesterday are sent.
3. Now the previous request can be overridden by sending 'Purchase today' and the figure will be sent as a corresponding response.
