Mah Sing, an abas user from Indonesia and a Toyota and Daihatsu supplier, presented best-practices for abas mobile solutions and RFID technology for manufacturing, supply chain and services.

Best-Practice: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in abas Business Suite

Eko Budi Mulyono, IT Manager at PT. Mah Sing Indonesia, demonstrated the advantages of abas Business Suite using RFID and abas mobile solutions. PT. Mah Sing Indonesia is a plastic molding manufacturer and a Toyota and Daihatsu supplier. Since 2009 PT. Mah Sing has used abas Business Suite to optimize every sector of their supply chain, from production and scheduling to inventory, sales and purchasing.

RFID technology is a method for reading and saving data from a transponder without contact or even a direct line of sight. An RFID interface is included in the standard release of abas Business Suite and is actively used in installations around the world. With RFID, products can be recorded, traced and assigned to a specific customer. Each RFID tag maintains a history, making it possible to readily locate goods at any time. Goods receipts can be automatically separated by product group upon arrival. RFID technology allows quick and easy sorting according to the data recorded on the chips. Corresponding packing slips can be generated automatically and all data are transferred to abas Business Suite for further processing.
