ERM Vibrating Motor helps operators catch critical alerts.

Press Release Summary:

Sized to fit into handheld or body worn devices, 308-103 eccentric rotating mass (ERM) vibration motor is suited for use in vibration alerting applications where user may be wearing protective clothing. Product is built from high-torque, 3 Vdc motor, and size of eccentric mass creates maximum vibration amplitude; users benefit from high vibration amplitudes with relatively low vibration frequency. At 9.5 G, this sub-12 mm vibration motor is optimized for strength.

High Vibration Amplitude 308-103 ERM Vibrating Motor Released

Precision Microdrives have released a new high amplitude eccentric rotating mass vibration motor, the 308-103.

Built from a high torque 3 V DC motor, the 308-103 has a large eccentric mass. This creates a large vibration amplitude, much greater than similar sized vibrating motors. At 9.5 G it is the strongest sub-12 mm vibration motor available.

The generous eccentric mass enables users to benefit from high vibration amplitudes with a relatively low vibration frequency. This makes the 308-103 ideal for use in vibration alerting applications where the user may be wearing protective clothing. High vibration frequencies are more susceptible to damping, and the soft material of safety gloves or jackets / vests can make choosing a suitable actuator critical. The 308-103 solves this problem with both a low vibration frequency and a very high amplitude, ensuring operators do not miss critical alerts, whilst being small enough to fit into handheld or body worn devices.

Precision Microdrives’ 308-103 is now available to order from 1+ quantities. Visit the Product Catalogue for more information and specifications, including comprehensive datasheets, or contact Precision Microdrives directly.
