Restuff-IT Named as Finalist in 2015 MHI Innovation Awards: Best New Product Category
Elmira, ON: Engineered Lifting Systems & Equipment Inc. (ELS) is proud to announce the Restuff-IT™ Loader has been named a Finalist in the 2015 MHI Innovation Awards: Best New Product Category.
Restuff-IT™ Loaders are ergonomic assists for workers tasked with the manual handling floor-loaded product. The innovative design of the Restuff-IT™ positions the operator close to a box wall by utilizing an adjustable height operator platform along with a pivoting and articulating conveyor. By reducing the lifting & twisting normally associated with the manual loading operation, operator injuries are significantly reduced. The Restuff-IT™ is extremely flexible as it can be used for loading or unloading product and can be repositioned to any dock door by using its battery-powered drive system. “The Restuff-IT™ helps meet the needs of professionals in the supply chain such as health and safety, operations and general management. Whether the objective is to reduce injury or improve productivity when handling boxed product in containers and trailers, the Restuff-IT™ is an excellent solution” says Richard Kat, VP Sales & Marketing, ELS.
Regarding the selection process, Greg Baer, Director of Sales, MHI advised “In total, MHI had 94 submissions and they could have all been finalists. Over the last two weeks, a panel of judges made up of industry end users, academia, and consultants reviewed the submissions. We met at MHI headquarters and after lengthy discussion & deliberation, the panel agreed on 6 finalists”.
ELS will be exhibiting the Restuff-IT™ Loader at PROMAT 2015 in Booth #4214, McCormick Place South, Chicago from March 23-26, 2015. Winners of the MHI Innovation Award will be announced on March 25, 2015 at the show.
