Ergo(TM) Sums up New Standard for Search from Invu

Beta Release of Ergo unites desktop and online resources, introduces intelligent clustering and multi-dimensional visualization, and adds social networking capabilities to search

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 27 -- Invu Inc (LSE, AIM, Symbol; NVUK) today announced that Ergo(TM), Invu's next generation search and social networking tool, is now available in Beta release. Ergo is setting a new standard for search, uniting personal and online worlds by enabling search across a wide range of local and online resources, providing a more intelligent clustering of discovered information, and offering a multi-dimension and visual presentation of results. The product also offers the ability for users to annotate findings using pen and touch and share searches on a local and global level.

"Ergo uses several new technologies to create an immersive application that looks fantastic," said Todd Landstad, Business Development Manager at Microsoft Corporation, at a recent demonstration of Ergo at Microsoft MIX 07 in London on September 12. "It accepts search information, and gives you back results and clusters them based on relevance, with a very intuitive user interface."

In developing its own search engine, Microsoft Corp.* found that people search an average of 11 minutes before they find what they are looking for. According to recent market research half of potential Web sales are lost because visitors simply can't find what they want.

The patent-pending** Ergo product is designed to address these limitations by:

o Providing a better way to understand and organize search results. Ergo helps users locate the information they need faster and understand better the context of what they find. The product allows users to search a wide range of resources including desktop files, Internet search engines. RSS Web feed formats used to publish blogs, news headlines and podcasts, and web sites. The information found is presented in meaningful and clearly labeled thematic groups called "Intelligroups," rather than as a linear list as do traditional search engines. Intelligroups support multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Ergo also performs groupings at extremely high speeds. On an average desktop computer, Ergo can intelligently group 100 search results in less than 0.03 seconds and 400 results in 0.13 seconds.

o Creating a smarter technique for visualizing and discovering connections between results. Ergo is changing the way users visualize complex information, using innovative methods to help users efficiently pinpoint the information they need and quickly eliminate what they do not. Ergo makes it easier to explore Intelligroups of documents and complex data by enabling users to move the Intelligroups around the screen's canvas and display only highly relevant groups, or quickly zoom in on the group that interests them most. Once selected, Ergo's ThumbFlow(TM) document carousel viewer generates three-dimensional thumb nails of the documents or web pages within the clustered collection of files, delivering a stunning and intuitive interface to users. It also enables users to preview any document without opening the target application via Ergo View.

o Establishing new ways to connect and collaborate through search. Ergo provides new ways to interact, share and connect with touch in natural environments. The product's user interface is designed to easily navigate and interact with found documents and information using a finger, thumb or a stylus. Ergo allows users to annotate documents, web pages, emails, images and video via pen, text and speech. This can then be shared easily with other Ergo users. The product also supports the ability to track changes and progress of collaborative tasks and enables users to store collaborative documents online on the Ergo collaboration network.

"We believe that Ergo will set a new standard for the industry by providing search users with a more natural, intuitive and intelligent method for getting the information they want," said Justin Staines VP Alliances for Ergo. "Feedback on the product even at this early stage in its evolution is incredibly positive. Our users tell us that there is no other product out there that can provide the same level of functionality and speed for search as what they find with Ergo."

Pricing and Requirements

Ergo requires the Windows Vista operating system. Ergo can be pre-ordered today by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The product will be generally available in January 2008. Ergo retails for $249 per licensed copy.
