Epson to Showcase Its Latest Range of Printers, Scanners, Projectors and Storage Viewing Solutions at Gitex Dubai 2006
Company will exhibit innovative DURABrite Ultra ink, Claria Photographic Ink, Advanced VSDT, Micro Piezo and PhotoEnhance technologies

Epson has announced that it will showcase the company's latest range of consumer inkjet printers, multi-function printers, laser and photo printers, scanners, projectors and storage viewing devices at its stand at C-4-30 in Hall 4 at GITEX Dubai 2006, the Middle East's largest IT show scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 18 to 22.
The focus at GITEX 2006 will be on the company's latest range of high-performing Large Format Inkjet Printers which incorporates Epson's advanced 8-colour Ultrachrome K3 ink technology to provide one of the most cost-effective, fast and flexible printing solutions for design professionals in the Point of Sale (POS), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Geographic Information System (GIS) and corporate markets. This new generation of large format inkjet printers is made up of the Stylus Photo R1800, Stylus Photo R2400, Stylus Pro 3800, Stylus Pro 4800, Stylus Pro 7800 and Stylus Pro 9400 models that are most suited to the needs of professionals in the photography, fine arts and proofing fields as well.
In the consumer inkjet category, Epson will highlight its latest Stylus C79 and Stylus C87 models of general purpose four-colour inkjet printers that offer a high-performing and cost-effective printing solution to the small office home office segment. These printers combine Epson's innovative DURABrite Ultra ink technology with its unique Micro Piezo and PhotoEnhance technologies to yield superior quality prints. The ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5.1 software and Creativity Suite software that the printers are bundled with, allow for greater creativity and better management of prints.
Epson's latest Stylus CX Series of multi-function devices (MFD) and the Stylus Photo RX models of all-in-ones for photo enthusiasts will be showcased in the MFD section. The Stylus CX Series comprises the CX3900, CX4900 and CX5900 printer models that offer home users a versatile and cost-effective solution for speedy and economical home printing, scanning and copying. These come with Epson's latest DURABrite Ultra ink, Micro Piezo, Easy Photo Fix scanning and PhotoEnhance technologies, the Epson Creativity Suite and ABBYY FineReader Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.
On the other hand, the Stylus Photo RX 590 and Stylus Photo RX 640 all-in-one printers make for an affordable home printing solution for photo enthusiasts looking for premium-quality digital and analogue images. Both these models feature Epson's Variable Sized Droplet Technology, PhotoEnhance and Easy Photo Fix technologies that yield smooth, sharp and detailed images. Their CD/DVD print function allows users to print their unique images directly onto the surface of inkjet printable CDs, by simply switching from the paper output tray to the CD-R tray via a one touch lever.
GITEX Dubai 2006 will see Epson launching its range of A3 and A4 compact, fast and efficient laser printers consisting of the EPL-N2550, AcuLaser CX11NF, AcuLaser C3800 and AcuLaser C8600 models for small and medium businesses and the corporate office market. While the EPL-N2550 monochrome printer provides a fast, easy-to-use and reliable printing solution for corporate needs, the AcuLaser CX11NF offers high quality printing, copying, colour scanning and full fax functionality in a small footprint for small offices and business work groups. The AcuLaser C3800 and AcuLaser C8600 models are built to cater to heavy duty printing needs of small, medium and large corporate offices in a fast, reliable and secure manner.
Epson's scanner segment will feature its stylish Perfection series of slim and flatbed photo scanners. The series comprising Perfection V10, Perfection V100, Perfection V350, Perfection V750 Pro, GT 2550 and Perfection 4990 Pro models uses Epson's Matrix CCD scanning technology, Digital ICE technology, High Pass Optics and Dual Lens systems and Easy Photo Fix software to offer complete imaging solutions to amateur and professional photographers in homes, offices, studios and classrooms.
The Photo Printers section will display Epson's latest range of Stylus Photo R390 and Stylus Photo R270 top-quality six-colour A4 photo printers featuring Claria Photographic Ink, Epson's new dye ink formulation that yields superior photo quality. Targeted both at those who want to upgrade their existing photo printers and at novice home photo printer users, these models feature Advanced Variable Sized Droplet and PhotoEnhance technologies.
Epson will also showcase the latest addition to its award-winning multimedia storage viewer range, the P-5000 and P-3000 that are targeted at photographers in addition to its new PictureMate PM range of photo printers. Consisting of the PictureMate 100, PictureMate 240 and PictureMate 280 models, this range of printers enables users to print superior quality photos at home conveniently and cost-effectively.
The Projectors segment at Epson's stand at GITEX will host its latest range of 3LCD projectors with USB connectivity and multi-screen technology-the EMP-TW-D3, the EMP-TW700, the EMP-6100 and the EMP-1715 models--offering ideal lightweight, portable and easily adjustable projection devices for businesses, corporate offices and professionals on the move. Epson's TM-C100 and TM-C100ASF ticket printers for the commercial and industrial printing sectors and its compact, high-performing IR-700 all-in-one cash registers aimed at small businesses, retailers, resellers and the hospitality segment will also be exhibited during GITEX Dubai.
