Epson Launches New DURABrite Ultra Ink All-in-One Four Colour Inkjet Printers

The Stylus CX7300 Series and Epson Stylus CX8300 Series boast fast print speeds and high quality scanning and copying
January 31st, 2008 Epson has announced the Middle East launch of the Stylus CX7300 and CX8300 Series of DURABrite Ultra Ink all-in-one four colour inkjet printers. The printers that combine all the essential components for the home and home office, have a new print head design that delivers fast print speeds of up to 32ppm and takes approximately 26 seconds for a 10x15cm photo in draft, borderless mode.
Memory card slots and PictBridge connectivity are also included for computer-free printing. The Epson Stylus CX8300 Series additionally boasts a 6.3cm LCD viewer for viewing and printing photos without a PC. Both models are also cost effective with four individual ink cartridges, so only the colour that is used needs to be replaced.
The Epson Stylus CX7300 and Stylus CX8300 Series are both equipped with an improved Epson Micro Piezo print head. It features a new printing mechanism that increases the rate at which ink droplets can be ejected from the nozzles, resulting in faster printing for all document types without sacrificing quality.
Epson DURABrite Ultra Ink is an advanced pigment-based ink technology that encapsulates each pigment particle in a protective resin coating. This makes the ink resistant to water, smudging and fading. The resin and pigment particle have also been optimised to offer higher gloss photos when printing on glossy media and sharper laser-like text for printing documents.
Both models also feature Epson PhotoEnhance to get the best out of photography. It automatically detects skin tones, landscapes and skylines to give the best colour settings for high-quality photos. Further, the Epson Creativity Suite software is included to manage, file and print photos. With its user-friendly interface it is easy to access images from a range of devices such as a digital camera or scanner, while Epson Easy Photo Print makes it simple to remove red-eye.
With a 1200dpi scanner it is easy to make stand-alone copies or scan via the PC. Epson Easy Photo Fix will restore colour, remove dust and correct backlight on faded or old scanned photos. Also included is ABBYY FineReader Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, which makes it easy to scan and edit text.
