EPSON Launches Latest Multimedia Storage Viewer Line Up in Middle East


Versatile devices combine robust processing power with sleek aesthetics to appeal to professionals and aficionados alike

EPSON has announced the launch of its latest multimedia storage and viewing solutions - the P-5000 and P-3000 - in the Middle East. Both models features a large 4.0" EPSON Photo Fine Ultra LCD viewer and the world's first four-colour filter system for unrivalled image quality and an increased colour gamut.

Boasting long battery lives coupled with vibrant displays, the multimedia devices are versatile tools to store and view photos, listen to songs and watch the latest movies. The P-3000 comes equipped with a 40 GB hard drive while the P-5000 carries an extensive 80 GB of storage capable of housing thousands of multimedia files.

The P-5000 and P-3000 feature a 4.0" LCD viewer with EPSON Photo Fine Ultra technology ensuring it provides the highest image viewing quality in its class. The multimedia storage viewers are the first on the market to incorporate a four-colour filter system and support Adobe RGB colour space, for ultra-sharp images.

The storage devices offer incredibly fast backup speeds from cameras and other gadgets, with a transfer rate of approximately 155 seconds for 1GB of data from a Compact Flash card. The multimedia viewing solutions support all major multimedia formats, including JPEG, MP3, AAC and WMA formats for photos and music, and DiVX, MPEG 1/2/4, AVC, WMV9 and Motion JPEG formats for videos. The devices are equipped with new Link2 software that optimizes multimedia management and offers an automatic file conversion function for most music and movie formats to ensure compatibility. Editing capabilities put the user in full command of play lists and content.

The P-5000 has a strong zoom function of up to 400%, allowing users to view images in the greatest of detail. The powerful processing unit makes the viewing of full-frame images and thumbnails incredibly fast. The P-5000 also enables photographers to check all the metadata stored including exposure, colour and composition of images, which is ideal for storage on location.
