Chemically Resistant Epoxy Potting Compound



EPOXICAST EC-1027E is specially formulated for rigorous applications that need high chemical resistance at elevated temperatures with low shrinkage and no cracking. EC-1027E is stable from -55C - 200C in potting applications. Able to withstand thermal cycling and thermal shock, EC-1027E does not crack nor delaminate under these extreme conditions. Of the dozen or so encapsulants tested from various companies, EC-1027E has the lowest rate of swelling and the least amount of shrinking/cracking when removed from the ammonia. It also seems to provide the best resistance to ammonia related electrical shorting of the encapsulated sensors. EC-1027E is a 2 part, heat cure only epoxy potting compound available in various sizes from pint kits to 5-gallon kits.
