New Corr-Paint CP2070 Epoxy-Novolac Provides Corrosion Protection to 300°F

Valley Cottage, NY - November 21, 2003

SUMMARY
Corr-Paint(TM) CP2070, a new high temperature corrosion protective, epoxy-novolac paint developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to coat metal components and structures used in industrial applications to 300°F (150°C).

FEATURES
Corr-Paint(TM) CP2070 is a two part, gray-pigmented, 100% solids, epoxy-novolac system used to protect steel components and structures used in aircraft, automotive, chemical processing, foundry, and power generation plants for applications to 300°F (150 °C).

Corr-Paint(TM) CP2070 provides excellent adhesion to marginally prepared metal surfaces and exceptional corrosion resistance. It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including acetic acid, jet fuel, alcohols, diesel fuel, gasoline, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, toluene and xylene. It also provides good thermal shock, salt spray, and UV resistance.

Corr-Paint(TM) CP2070 is a two-part system that is mixed easily in a 2-to-1 ratio by volume. Mixed viscosity is 800-1000 centipoise. Coating can be applied using conventional spray equipment, brush or roller. It dries and cured fully at room temperature in 24 hours. Typical film thickness is 5-7 mils for a single coat.

Corr-Paint(TM) CP2070 is part of a series of high temperature coatings for applications from room temperature to 1500°F. CP2070 can also be ordered in a variety of special pigments including black, white, green, red, blue, yellow and brown. Products are available from stock in pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon pails.
