FLOOR-NU DTO (Direct to Oil) Epoxy Flooring System

(ST. LOUIS - March 28, 2005) Steelcote Manufacturing's announces its FLOOR-NU DTO (Direct to Oil) epoxy flooring system is formulated to bond to concrete substrates that are contaminated with petroleum oil, grease or vegetable oil. The product is a high solids, two component primer with an accompanying epoxy top coat. This information is according to Tim Mauzy, Executive Vice President for the company.

FLOOR-NU (DTO) is a high build system that is roller or brush applied to contaminated concrete and steel. The coating goes on thick to resist "stain-through" or oils, tars and asphalt. The epoxy can also be applied over marginally prepared rusted steel and existing coatings.

This system does not release harmful components during manufacturing, installation, or the life of the system and, once installed, it is USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) authorized for use in Federally inspected meat and poultry processing plants.

When the FLOOR-NU FINISH is applied over the DTO primer, then result is a seamless finish is easy to clean and, because of its exceptionally long life cycle, it conserves energy and other natural resources.

According to information from the manufacturer, "Steelcote's flooring systems have a life cycle unsurpassed by any other flooring surface and can be expected to maintain a "like-new" appearance for many years. FLOOR-NU systems are perfect for chemical plants, food processing areas, and any other buildings where abrasion resistance and durability are equally important." When its longer life cycle and ease of cleaning are considered, the cost of the FLOOR-NU compares favorably to epoxy, polyurethane and other resilient products.
