High-performance Ren Shape(R) Epoxy Board Introduced by Vantico


EAST LANSING, Michigan, November 19, 2001 -- A new machinable epoxy board, adhesive and repair paste for producing intermediate-temperature models, heat-resistant thermoform tooling and lay-up tools for composite parts are now available from Vantico Inc., Adhesives & Tooling Division.

The high-performance Ren Shape 5008 epoxy board can be machined with carbide cutters to generate molds with excellent edge definition, outstanding dimensional stability and a smooth surface finish. Designed for use at temperatures up to 250°F (121°C), the board is ideal for producing molds for thermoforming detailed, production-quality parts from materials including polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polycarbonate and ABS. It is also well suited for fabricating high-quality composite parts that must be cured in an oven. Ren Shape 5008 boards measure 60-inches long x 24-inches wide x 2, 4, and 6-inches thick.
