April 15, 2008, Cambridge, ON - Bangor Metals Corp, a Tier 1 resource and supplier to the OEM & Refurbishment Rail Industry has introduced enhanced manufacturing designs to produce Control Stands used to operate Diesel Locomotives. Focused process engineering has resulted in a superior cabinet construction, requiring less welds and fewer components while improving stability and overall unit strength. Through cellular manufacturing processes, Bangor Metals is now able to promote the Control Stand as a complete "plug-and-play" (fully equiped and tested) module using core competency manufacturing processes.
