Xenetech Develops Virtual, Color Pendant for All Laser and Rotary Engraving Systems

Baton Rouge, La. - Xenetech Global, Inc., a leading manufacturer of laser and mechanical engraving and cutting systems, has announced that it has developed software that will display its color pendant onto the engraving system's host computer screen. In addition to the display, users will have complete control of the laser or rotary engraving system job from the host computer keyboard. The "Virtual, Color Pendant" provides the full functionality of Xenetech's current color touch screen pendant and gives the user the option of using the computer or system pendant to control the job. In addition to providing the user with expanded versatility, the new software provides the touch screen redundancy as well as the ability to remotely control access of the engraving system's operation.

Just like the touch screen pendant, Xenetech's virtual color pendant enables users to locate job files within the host hard drive and network; preview, pan, and zoom in on the job before engraving; as well as have complete control of the job's execution. The Xenetech virtual pendant has on-the-fly

speed and power control, re-engrave command by character, line and plate, plate resizing from the engraving table, full Z-Axis control, point to an area and engrave placement, autofocus, setting home positions, maintenance settings and monitoring, and many other features.

The new Virtual Color Pendant software will be available in March and will be included with every new laser or rotary system purchase. Existing Xenetech system owners may purchase the Virtual Color Pendant software and licensees under warranty contract or under a phone support contract will receive significant discounts.

"We want to put full engraving system control at the fingertips of Xenetech users. The Virtual Color Pendant will give shop owners the ability to choose how they want to control the operation of their laser or rotary engraving system. Not only will this new software provide versatility, but it will be a backup for the physical pendant devise enabling continued operation of the system should the touch screen be inadvertently damaged. Xenetech support professionals will also be able to remotely take control of a customer's system to help diagnose any operating issues. We envision this software being a great tool to increase and ensure productivity gains," stated John Lundberg, Xenetech's R&D Vice President.
