Flex Launches Renewable Energy Storage Solution
Integrating solar and wind power into the energy grid with a versatile, standardized energy storage platform for utility, commercial and industrial users
Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX), the Sketch-to-Scale™ solutions provider that designs and builds intelligent products for a connected world, has expanded its contributions to the renewable energy industry with the introduction of energy storage solutions to address the challenge of integrating solar and wind power into the energy grid.
Advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are increasingly important assets that complement the growth of the renewable energy industry by storing energy when production exceeds demand, and by providing services, such as frequency control, to the grid.
The Flex solution is a versatile, standardized energy storage platform for utility, commercial and industrial users. Supporting multiple cell technologies and designed to maximize energy and power density of BESS deployments, the platform is engineered to comply with the exacting standards of the industry, while providing the highest levels of safety and security.
