Energy Focus Inc., Announces New Line of Energy Efficient LED Landscape Lights
SOLON, Ohio, June 2 -- Energy Focus, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFOI), a global leader in energy-efficient lighting technologies, today announced that it has retrofitted the Cuyahoga County Gerber Building located in Cleveland, OH with its newest LED lighting solution - Energy Efficient LED Landscape Lighting.
This marks the second beta site for the new fixtures after an install at Geis Construction headquarters in Streetsboro, OH earlier in the year.
Energy Focus Inc. replaced 250 and 400 watt Metal Halide fixtures with Energy Focus' new 26 watt LED Landscape luminaires. The fixtures are exclusively manufactured by Energy Focus, Inc. in Solon, OH. This retrofit reduced the County building's energy consumption by 89% and practically eliminates maintenance for at least 10 years because of the fixtures' 50,000 hour LED lamp life.
In total, this energy efficient upgrade will improve the environmental impact of the county by lowering electrical consumption by 89% annually. In other words, the LED upgrade is equivalent to planting 8,121 new trees or taking 11 cars off the road.
