Endevco to Display State-of-the-Art Sensor Technology with Hands-On Demos at NIWEEK 07

Sensing solutions leader Endevco will incorporate fun and informative demonstrations and videos into its exhibit of advanced sensors in booth #400 at NIWeek Aug. 7-9 in Austin, TX. The demos will enable visitors to experience directly the types and magnitude of g forces that must be measured accurately and reliably in many critical applications. The company will also showcase the latest in its line of sensing products and services, including the model 87, the world's lowest-noise compact seismic accelerometer.

Endevco Corporation, the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, will exhibit its most popular products with hands-on demonstrations in booth #400 at the NIWeek 07 Worldwide Virtual Instrumentation Conference at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX, Aug. 7-9, 2007.

The new Endevco model 87, the world's lowest-noise compact seismic accelerometer, will be a featured product at the company's exhibit. It is 70% lighter than traditional IEPE seismic accelerometers and designed for measuring ultra-low-level seismic events and low-frequency vibration on structures and objects. The model 87 is hermetically sealed against environmental contamination, is available in 1 V/g or 10 V/g sensitivity, delivers the best signal to noise through state-of-the-art integrated electronics, and provides near-dc frequency response. It incorporates an advanced ultra-low-noise hybrid circuit operating in a constant current mode, and a simple two-wire system transmits low-impedance voltage output and required power.

In addition, the Endevco exhibit will feature hands-on demonstrations and exciting videos for visitors to directly experience the high g levels Endevco sensors are trusted to measure. The demos are designed to educate attendees in an interactive, competitive and memorable way:

"Endevco BOB" ATD dummy with implanted Endevco sensors (models 7264D and 7269), ready to take hits and register force, along with sensor-equipped boxing gloves.

"Know your g's" drop test demonstration where attendees will drop various objects and guess the g's experienced in the fall.
