Right Angle End Prep Tool Designed for Single Boiler Tube Repairs
A right angle I.D. clamping welding end prep tool for making boiler tube repairs in limited access areas between tubes, regardless of orientation, is available from ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The "Wart" MILLHOG® Right Angle I.D. Clamping End Prep Tool features a gear drive supported by dual-opposed tapered roller bearings, a separate bearing to support the cutter head, and the EscoLock(TM) wedge-style blade lock system. Requiring only a 2-5/8" wide clearance to fit between boiler tubes, this heavy-duty tool has a handle with a ratchet for clamping to the tube I.D. and a knurled knob to simplify positioning.
Capable of simultaneously beveling, flat facing, and boring, the "Wart" MILLHOG® Right Angle I.D. Clamping End Prep Tool provides torque-free operation to prevent operator fatigue and requires no special training. It can be used in any orientation on tubes from 0.75" I.D. to 4.5" O.D., uses TiN coated cutter blades, and can pull a thick chip without cutting oils.
