Heavy Wall End Prep Tool Hydraulic Powered For Tough Materials
A new, hydraulic version of their I.D. clamping welding end prep tool that is suitable for difficult to machine materials such as chrome-molybdenum pipe is being introduced by ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The MILLHOG® Dictator Hydraulic I.D. Clamping Tool is designed for machining up to 20" dia. Schedule 160 pipe in the field and features only eight sets of clamps for the full working range of the tool. Providing 6,500 ft.-lbs. of torque, this hydraulic powered tool can machine tough material such as chrome-molybdenum pipe and stainless steel without using cutting lubricants.
Featuring smooth, quiet, and controlled operation, the MILLHOG® Dictator Hydraulic I.D. Clamping Tool has a self-centering mandrel, dual opposed tapered roller bearings for rigidity, uses standard TiN coated cutter blades, and adapts to a full range of hydraulic power packs. No special operator training is needed and a pneumatic model is also available.
