Union Butterfield Features Roughing End Mills And Applix(R) Taps
Asheville, NC March 18, 2002...Union Butterfield exhibit feature Roughing End Mills that offer high stock removal with less chatter and vibration and designed to machine a broad range of materials that include steel, stainless steel, titanium, cast iron, nickel, copper, aluminum and magnesium and to optimize the performance of today's CNC machines. Manufactured from premium M42 Cobalt steel, they feature an all-ground roughing profile with a center cutting end tooth geometry that allows for plunging and profiling. Uncoated, TiCN and TiCN surface finishes are available and seven styles are offered. In addition the booth will feature the high performance APPLIX(R) MX Series DIN overall length production taps designed to provide greater tap reach than standard USCTI overall tap lengths. The MX Series provide greater toughness and more wear resistance than conventional high speed steels, resulting in longer tap life, excellent abrasion resistance, and superior core and edge strength. The MX Series is available with TiCN coating for higher operating speeds, improved thread quality and greatly extended tap life. Coolant feeding styles permit rapid chip evacuation, higher tapping speeds, reduced cycle times and eliminate the problems associated with inadequate coolant in horizontal or deep hole applications.
