End Former sizes tubing.

Press Release Summary:

S:501 uses drop-in style segmented tooling to expand, reduce, and form beads at ends of tubes. It has 5 in. dia hydraulic cylinder, 4 in. stroke, air cooled heat exchanger, compact 10 sq ft footprint and works on tubes up to 3.00 in. OD. Former has Allen-Bradley Micrologix controller and proximity switches, 10 hp hydraulic system capable of 2300 psi, and Parker D03 series directional control valves. All wiring and hoses are routed underneath.

Original Press Release:

Compact S:501 Series Tube End Former For Quicker, Reliable Swaging Operation

Aristo Machines, Inc., USA, introduced their S:501, a smaller version of their popular S Series end forming systems in the Fall 2001. Like the Aristo S:601, it uses drop-in style segmented tooling to size (expand, reduce, form beads) the ends of tubes. Unlike that end former, it uses a smaller (5" diameter vs. 6") hydraulic cylinder (same 4" stroke) resulting in a quicker forming cycle, while delivering the forming force required of most jobs for tubes up to 3.00" OD.

Another new feature is in the control of the forming cycle. The S:501 uses the Allen-Bradley Micrologix and proximity switches to deliver accurate, reliable cylinder travel and thus forming results. At the same time, this lessens the wear on the hydraulic system.

Other features of the S:501 include a 10 HP hydraulic system (capable of 2300 psi), high performance Parker D03 series directional control valves, and all the wiring and hoses routed underneath for neater workspace. It also include the typical Aristo design features - compact footprint (10 square feet for the S:501), universal drop-in style tooling, air cooled heat exchanger, standard components from world class manufacturers, and easy access to all those components for easy maintenance.
