SANDPOINT, IDAHO, May 7,2002: Encoder Products Company (EPC), manufacturer of the popular Accu-Coder(TM) brand encoders, has enhanced the usability of its large bore Model 775 and 776 Slim Line Thru-Bore Encoders. Both models are now available with a protective cover that improves reliability and increases sealing capabilities. The Model 775 is less than an inch thick (.840 inches) and features bore sizes to 1.375 inches, while its slightly larger big brother, the 1.36 inch Model 776, features bore sizes to 1.875 inches. Both are designed for highly demanding, rugged industrial applications, featuring noise immunity, electrostatic discharge immunity, and other environmental specifications that are well in excess of industry standards. In addition, both offer 100 degree C temperature ratings, resolutions to 4,096 CPR, and a wide range of output options. These large bore encoders are especially user friendly, with a variety of mounting mechanisms that allow them to be easily mounted directly either on a motor or other type of shaft, and both are available with phenolic inserts for improved electrical and thermal isolation.
