1 MHz Bandwidth In High Resolution Encoder
The Industrial Encoder Division of BEI Sensors & Systems Company has extended the performance of their T10 and T20 signal interpolation electronics to operate up to 1 MHz. The T10 and T20 circuitry can electronically multiply the base encoder resolution by a factor of 10 and 20 respectively. Electronics are self-contained within the rugged, well-sealed industrial encoder package allowing for simplified installation and reliable operation. Operators can now realize more precise process control with high-speed processors, in demanding applications.
This expanded bandwidth also extends the useful operating speed of high resolution encoders for industrial environments. As digital controls and DSP's become faster and their ability to process complex information quickly grows, this improvement provides enhanced performance in new speed control systems, and the potential to extend the capabilities of existing equipment through system upgrades.
