Optima Announces AdvancedTCA Cabinet Enclosures



Tucker Georgia, Feb. 15, 2006 - Optima EPS, an Elma Company, has
announced a new AdvancedTCA cabinet enclosure. Optima's AT Series of
vertical rack enclosures incorporate advanced features specifically
designed to addresses the growing complexity of blade and server
applications based on the AdvancedTCA format.

In response to increased densities and higher processing speeds, Optima
EPS Engineer's have developed a powerful thermal management solution
based on simulation studies.

The Optima AT cabinet comes standard in a 44U H x 600mm W x 600mm D
(Total Height = 2125mm) with mounting up to three 14U ATCA chassis.
Other sizes and dimensions are optional. The cabinet features
integrated air baffling to ensure cooling path integrity, four high
volume CFM fans, and top cabinet exhaust. The cable management is
configurable for horizontal and vertical chassis mounting with a fiber
optic router for management. The 19" vertical bracket accommodates
industry-standard cable brackets and is notched for up to 1" Velcro
straps. Also, there are 3x depth stiffeners for tying cables front to
rear. The cable management solution is also very user-friendly with top
front and top rear cable access panels and an optional 1U cable trough
for mounting between sub-racks.

The ATCA cabinet also features a 4-point latching handle system and
removable side panels (quarter turns, slotted or keyed). The cabinet
door is gasketed for environmental sealing. The modular base allows for
fixed mount, leveler, or caster options. Optima's other electronic
cabinet lines includes a product mix of EMC, NEMA, Mil/Aero,
Co-location, and Server cabinets.
