Bradley's New Enclosed Safety Shower Stands up to Harsh Chemicals and Environmental Conditions

MENOMONEE FALLS, WIS., (August 25, 2009) - Armed with an insulated fiberglass structure, superior fire ratings, and reliable chemical and corrosion resistance, Bradley's new enclosed safety shower provides exceptional wash-down capability in emergency situations, while withstanding harsh chemicals and environmental conditions.

The shower comes equipped with 100% vacuum-formed fiberglass surround construction that is highly resistant to chemicals and corrosion. The exterior features UV inhibitor gel-coat for extra protection from sunlight ultraviolet ray degradation, exposure to chemicals and salt-laden air environmental conditions.

The enclosed safety shower's combination eye wash and drench shower ships with a scald- and freeze-protection valve, resisting freezing up to minus-58 degrees Fahrenheit. Its SpinTec(TM) drench shower head delivers a uniform 23-gallon per minute (GPM) flow, providing a superior wash-down in a shorter amount of time than other emergency fixtures. The shower's corrosion-resistant BRADTECT(TM) yellow coating makes the fixture highly visible.

The enclosure's sturdy construction features stainless steel framed viewing windows with wire-reinforced safety glass and double-acting spring hinge crash doors with weather strips to maintain maximum seal against wind, rain and snow. When anchored, the enclosure can withstand a seismic 4 earthquake rating, and handle wind-load capabilities up to 150 mph, including three-second gusts. In the event that replacement or relocation is needed, the shower is constructed with both top-lift and base-lift capabilities that simplify the process.

Bradley offers six models of enclosed safety showers suitable for either indoor or outdoor applications. Each model is configured with one of three water supply units: Tepid Water Inlet, Hot Water Inlet or Electric Tankless Water Heater. Ideal applications include mining, oil refineries, petrochemical, bio-diesel and ethanol facilities.
