Anthro Introduces the New eCart!

Anthro Corporation, the Tualatin, Oregon based manufacturer of furniture for hi-tech applications, announces the introduction of their new eCart. The eCart is an enclosed cart and can be used in an exam or operating room, server rooms, labs; anywhere a compact enclosed cart is needed.

The eCart is designed with a minimal outside footprint of 24"W x 28"D, and a maximum inside volume. Enclosed on the top, bottom and sides, the eCart can be further customized with options of doors or panels for the front and back for a fully enclosed cart. The Door option is composed of Frosted Plexiglas and is lockable.

Vents are found on both sides of the top shelf, on the bottom and on the back panel, creating a natural convection of releasing hot air out through the top, and inviting cool air in from the bottom. The inside of the eCart can be customized by adding Inboard Shelves and Drawers. The Inboard Shelves can slide in and out, or be secured as stationery shelves. 15U rack rails can also be added to the inside of the cart for rack equipment, and can be mounted to the front and back to access the equipment from both sides of the cart. The inside mounting rail holes are spaced ½ unit apart, or .75".

The eCart can be customized with additional accessories like the Outboard Shelf, which when fully extended is flush with the top of the cart. When not in use, the Outboard Shelf will collapse to the side of the cart. The Tank Holder, used in medical applications, fits with rails on the side of the cart. Made for e-cylinder tanks, this attachment is adjustable in height so it can hold tanks of various heights. A Tray and Bin package is available to mount to the side of the cart with rails to hold miscellaneous items and files.

The eCart comes with two side panels, a vented metal back panel, laminated top and bottom panels with ventilated metal corners, four 5" casters (two directional casters and two locking casters) and eight vinyl corner guards. Built-in cable management hooks on the Back Panel and optional Handle keep wires organized and out of sight.

Anthro Corp. was founded in 1984 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tektronix. Anthro became an independent company in April 1988. Anthro sells computer furniture to the engineering, business, medical, government, education and home markets.
